Believe

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure & wearing lipstick. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything else seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe tomorrow is another day. I believe in Miracles.

The every day latest

Since we have a new baby on the way, I decided to get Ivy her own baby. She instantly took to it and has been so cute and sweet with it. CROSS your fingers PEOPLE!

We've been making a trip to the library once a month for some variety in our books and it's been great! Ivy just wanted to explore, mess up all the books and run around- we do eventually leave with a heap of books to borrow though!

CHEEEEESE!

Ivy & Crew, Lunch date!

Jer has been so great. I have been SO SICK with this pregnancy. No energy, feeling nauseous all the time, lethargic, feeling yucky, having major issues with food. He has really stepped up to the plate- He comes home from work, cooks, cleans and tends to Ivy completely. Soon, I'll feel better and can fill that role again, but for now, he is brilliant and a Godsend. There really aren't many men who come home from a long day of work and then immediately tend to your honey do list.

Belle Belle still tolerates Ivy at best. Ivy has no fear around her which is good. When Belle growls, Ivy growls right back. There are rare moments though that Belle lets Ivy near her without running to hide from her right away. If only Belle would realize that Ivy could be her best buddy.

We took the (windy) road to the Trail of 100 Giants.
Ivy threw up twice, poor girl (so did Belle). I guess she has my car sickness gene.
It was a gorgeous day to get some fresh air up in the mountains though. Those trees are beautiful and the air was cool with a hint of pine.

April 22, sweet girl all ready for church in her new dress.
I love her cheesy smile!

Squeezy, Squeezy, Squeezy. ALL.DAY.LONG
Honestly Ivy has turned out to be such a picky eater. She pretty much just likes to drink her food. Squeezies, milk and yogurt are about all she eats day in and day out. I give her a wide variety of foods to try through the day which all end up on the floor while she smiles and says "Squeezy!"

-Bunco De Mayo-
I have been enjoying this group of girls more and more. They are fabulous women!

Ivy got her first bite from another kid! haha, poor girl!

I've recently had to start doing ivy's hair every day because the front is too long and goes right into her eyes but it won't stay parted to the side or tuck behind her ears. So the little troll pony it is!

!14 weeks pregnant looking like I'm 30 weeks pregnant...
My bump has definitely grown faster/bigger this second time around.

We had a crazy night April 30th. Ivy was wide awake from 1:30-5AM
Heaven help me!! It was a loooooong night. Since Ivy is such a great sleeper, I am definitely not used to being awake at these hours of the night anymore, but we made it through somehow and it hasn't happened again.

Never too young to start saving some coins, right?!

May 2nd, we were off to visit Wenatchee for Mer's birthday weekend.
Ivy was a little crazy while we traveled, she is a busy bee, but she adjusted well and is always my easy going, happy baby.

We found out the GENDER of our baby bean!!!!
BLUE means BROTHER!!!
I can honestly say I was shocked, I totally wanted a girl and thought I was carrying one- for reals!!
Gender doesn't matter, I'm growing a baby that I love already!
We did a fun little gender-reveal in Wenatchee, it was great.

Ivy looooves the attention she gets from aunty and grandma.... the attention from her cousins... not as much!

Who's that big girl?!

Ivy and Sia, enjoying the Apple Blossom Parade
MAY 5th

After the Parade, we headed Up the Entiat River and went on a beautiful hike. Ivy powered up the mountain most of the way in her little sandals. She's our mountain goat! She refused to sit in the backpack carrier. She wanted to do all the walking! (I have since bought her some little hiking shoes!)

Washington sure is pretty!!

Finished the weekend with a nice dinner at Nick and Carries and a fruit Pizza birthday cake for Mer!
yum yum yum!

Ivy tried out the trampolines at Rush Air Sports for toddler time and she REALLY enjoyed herself!

Wednesday night Paint Night YW activity, lead by yours truly!
People ask me to do these all the time and it's difficult to put myself out there but when I do, and I get an opportunity to teach and see how much others enjoy it, it's always worth it in the end.

Friday, May 11
We packed up and went to Yosemite for a little camping trip.

We sure love House Keeping Camp and staying in the tent cabins.

Wes and Lindsey were there that same weekend and we saw them a few times! We love these friends of ours!

May 13th, My second Mothers day!
It's a funny thing to both be female and share 50% DNA and have my baby look nothing like me!!

Still working on Ivy's picky eating... every day is different.

Look at this sweet girl snuggling her teddy bear <3

What he ate vs. what I ate. I just can not get how disgusting food is out of my head, causing me to only be able to tolerate carbs. ALL.DAY.LONG. (insert eye roll)

growing, growing!

May 18
We headed to Lake Isabella so Ivy and I could play and Jer could wind surf.
It was a good day! (Ivy threw up again on the windy roads, poor thing)

Aunt Val sent over this beautiful dress for Ivy. She was going to give it to her when we went to England, but we didn't end up being able to go, so she mailed it. So thoughtful!

Seeing Ivy play and be creative has become one of my favorite things to watch! She is so sweet and fun.

Still working on the food thing... all she ate from this entire plate was the crackers...
June 1
Poor Ivy's first time getting "real" sick. She's had runny noses etc but never a double ear infection!
On Friday I realized that she was burning up and I took her temp, it was 103*, I took her straight in to Urgent Care and the poor girl had a bad ear infection. She's such a trooper, it's almost hard to tell when she's not feeling well because of her happy and easy going demeanor.

June 2, a little hike to Mt. Pinos Pines-
We thought some fresh air would do us good. Ivy enjoyed herself exploring around (once her tylenol kicked in)

June 5
We ran some errands, but it's really heating up around here so we stopped in at Jamba juice. 3 sips for the win for Ivy!!

We went home and painted our nails :)

June 7

June 8
We've been going to the library every couple weeks to check out some new board books. Ivy mostly just wants to run around and play but she enjoys the books we get at home.

Lately... we just use toilet paper like this hahaha
It doesn't make me mad. I love seeing Ivy's little personality come out and her devious little ways of exploring!!
