Believe

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure & wearing lipstick. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything else seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe tomorrow is another day. I believe in Miracles.

YOSEMITE NP

This summer we were lucky enough to go to Yosemite for the first time!
It's about 4 hours away from us in Bakersfield.
We stopped off and did a fun hike in Wawona. There was lots of water in the valley so everything was green and beautiful.
After our hike, we set up camp. Jer made a fire, we cooked tin foil dinners, roasted marshmellows, drank hot chocolate and played Uno.

For dessert we made brownies in an orange peel!

The blow up mattress we brought was too big for the tent, so we decided to put it in the back of the truck and sleep under the stars haha... it was okay.
In the morning, we made muffins in our orange peels!

Then we packed up and went into the "down town" yosemite valley.
Below is El Capitain. This is rated #1 in the world for rock climbing. We got to look through a telescope and see people climbing it. CRAZY!

This is the Upper Yosemite Falls
We hiked to the Lower Yosemite Falls.

After that, we met up with our friends Wes and Lindsey and their baby Sadie, and Was' parents who got a cabin for us in Camp Curry!
We went to dinner, got ice cream, and watched an out door movie.

The next morning, Wes and Jeremy got up early to go and hike Half Dome.

There's Jeremy sitting on the edge!

All the while, Lindsey and I hiked Vernal falls or the Mist Trail.

Super beautiful, and so much water!

The mist makes you cool down as you go by!

This is my happy place!
Lindsey and I then rented some bikes and rode around for a while.
SO FUN!

Just enjoying the views.

Half Dome.

The boys got back around 3:30pm and showed us their sweet pictures and told us about their hike.
Photos are below.

The cables!

Jeremy said it was one of the coolest hikes he's been on.
Here are a couple extra random photo's.

We had dinner together after everyone cleaned up, and then Jer and I headed home.
We had such a nice time, that we came back for Jeremy's birthday when his mom came down to visit:
The picture below is taken at Glacier Point.

Of coarse we had to go on another bike ride!

Hiked some of Vernal falls again!

Then we met up with Megan, Mark, and Presley over there. Rode the bus and had dinner together. It was SUUUPPER awesome that we got to run into each other and catch up.

We said our good byes and headed back home.
I hope to visit Yosemite every year!
