It's always a ton of fun around here!
Ivy keeps us on our toes constantly!
After returning from my trip to Canada, 4th of July festivities promptly began... only after I made my Durban Curry dish for Jer!!
Fireworks at Shafter high school, we are hoping for this to be a new tradition. It was the day before July 4th so it didn't interfere and was a good time.
The next day (on actual 4th of July) After swimming with some friends, we packed up and headed out to Morro bay, definitely one of our favorite, cozy little fishing boat towns!
We played at the beach.
Watched the fireworks.
Hiked around looking for tide pools.
Went on a bike ride along the sea cliffs.
And enjoyed every second of our time out of the Bakersfield heat!
Ivy's first official time going to nursery!
July 8, 2018
She LOVED it! and
Here's a little (big) project I worked on for Pam.
People are sure helping me develop my art skills these days! I painted grass all along her cinderblock wall... whatever she wants right!?
Ivy and Belle <3 Belle has been much more patient with Ivy these days.. she still growls, grumbles and runs away from Ivy's constant love and attention, but nonetheless is more patient.
I held my Art class for the littlies on 7/12
It went very well, they all loved it.
Ivy sporting the Casio watch at our favorite eating spot these days... Jamba Juice haha
This Ivy girl of ours has been struggling to get to bed with all the summer fun we've been having, but we sure don't mind the extra snuggles!!! Jer continues to be an amazing help in all things Ivy!
Just a lazy Saturday morning over here!!
7-14-18
We had tenants evicted on one of the four-plex units and when it wasn't too gross anymore we went to fix some stuff up ourselves and brought Ivy with us. She doesn't know whats going on yet, but we hope to teach her the importance of investing and money and hard work with these rentals of ours.
OOOOOOh BOY this baby is getting HUGE!
My first little craft for the baby room- a Yarn Wall art hanging, so fun!
I have a vision of what I want the room to look like, I hope it all comes together.
I spy a naughty little girl!
COME ON Bakersfield. Gah this heat is not letting up. There is just no way to stay cool, plus being pregnant when it's this hot is just too much. I need a lake to be jumping in to every 10 minutes!
I finally put up a summer wreath! It's beautiful, I love it!
Cheeeeeese!
We went to Mammoth with the Cardalls, it was a great time!
We rode the gondola up to get a view of the top of the world!! Wes and Jer spent the day mountain biking and had a great time.
Cute Ivy girl was wiped!
The next day we hiked around Convict lake. So awesome!
Then we took a Sunday UPHILL bike ride to Lake Mary <3
Twin Falls look out
Lake Mary
We definitely want to go back to Mammoth! It was a great time.
Girls camp 2018...
I was released from YW a few months ago but they still needed some help so I went. It was nice to be out in nature and camping for a few days!
Big Meadow!
Came home to this little book worm <3
On July 27th, we headed to Wenatchee!
As usual, we enjoyed our time there.
Jer and I finally hiked Colchuck lake.
It was a great experience despite me being terribly sick and slow and sore the whole time... welcome to my third trimester.
Just look at that water!
Crazy, Crazy trail!
Getting back, that Washington fires were so bad- look at that cloud of smoke!
I spent the rest of the night being terribly ill and throwing up... Stupid dumb pregnant body just can't keep up ha
Almost 100 people were at the cabin, it went really well. Jeff and Laurel planned it all, I did a painting activity for about 30 people, it went very well, despite me feeling awful!
After spending some good family time we headed home and the next day I had a Dr. Appt, here is an ultrasound pic of my baby boys face. I'm not gonna lie, this pregnancy has been so absolutely awful that it has been difficult for me to feel excited about being pregnant/growing a baby. I'll be SO HAPPY when he is here and out of my body!!
For now, My Ivy girl is the apple of my eye and my heart busts out all day long because she is so dang cute and fun!! Just LOOK at her!
Love my Jeremy for getting our beautiful baby room all ready and set up. I let him know I was feeling anxious about not being prepared enough and he got right to work getting me everything I need. I'm one lucky lady!
Still working on Ivy's eating... she doesn't eat much of substance and still prefers squeezies, but we'll get there, I will persist!
Asphalt Doctor is having a great year. I am so proud of Jer for all he's done to grow his business. It is so impressive!
We went down to San Diego to help Lexie and Ivy got to hang with cousin Rivers all day, they got along so great I love it!!!
Got bubbles?
A little bump up date at 30 weeks.
10 more to go!!
I've had this "vision" of what I want above the dresser in the baby room and decided to use my own skills to make it happen so I got fabric and these embroidery hoops and drew these cute modes of transportation. I like how they turned out!
It's been good to be doing something while Ivy naps. The baby room is coming along beautifully.
The latest...
32/40
Big old goose egg! whoops!
The finished product!!
Another little craft for the front door. I like it!
AND something I've been thinking of doing for the guest room. I love it it turned out so nicely!
I suppose I must be in nesting mode... I've had a lot of projects on my mind that I've SLOWLY been getting done. Jeremy doesn't really want anything to do with it so I've been mostly trying to figure it out on my own.
Right now I'm working on making a Learning tower for Ivy and a Mobile for baby room.
Again, I have to take it so so slow which is super annoying to me. My physical body just can not do all the things I want it to do- this pregnancy has been awful to say the least. I'm constantly coughing, trying to catch my breath, I get heart burn when I haven't even eaten/drank. My back hurts so bad, bending over for anything is a nightmare. I've gained so much weight my body is heavy to carry around so I spend a lot of the day sitting or lying down- I've never been this sedentary in my whole life! I feel fat and ugly, nothing fits, the days go by so slowly and I'm so lonely. Even when I get an invite to do something though, I usually turn it down because I just have no energy and feel so yucky. I am grateful for the poportunity to bring life into the world and to be a mother to this little baby boy and I am grateful that at every doctor appt he is healthy, growing oerfectly, strong heart beat, fluids are good etc. I almost think "there HAS to be something wrong" each time I have a dr. appt because I feel so crappy, but I'm pretty healthy and more importantly, my boy is healthy.
So because I've been feeling like S*** I'm trying these little things to help make me feel prettier haha... my lash boost is working! ... though I still have no energy (and it's just too hot) to actually do hair/makeup/nails/put on something cute... that would probably help but oh well. I am REALLY hoping I'll feel better once baby is born.
Jer and I went on a cute date to see "The real housewives of Bakersfield" at a local theater house here, it was funny and a great time with my boo.
<3
Making cookies to test out the new Learning tower!!
Monday night Jer got home from working COSTCO and suggested we go get a massage. YESSSSSS!!!! It was much needed!
I LOOOOOVE the stage Ivy is in. She is just so fun and learn so much each day. I am extremely lucky to get to hang out with her every day!
Push ups!!
I said: "Ivy, you look so cute, I want to take your picture"
Ivy replies: "okay, cheeeeeese"
My whole world, right here.
Check out these hefty veins in my belly... woah! No stretch marks though!
The completed (painted) learning tower. Jer helped me drill it all together but I did EVERYTHING else!! Got the wood and supplies, cut it, sanded, pre drilled holes, measured, painted. #girlpower
After a very long work week, Jer took Friday September 7th off and we headed to Avila beach.
It was a wonderful day. We went to the Avila barn to see the animals, get fresh fruit from the market and eat lunch. Here, Ivy rode her first pony!!!
Belle also had a blast at the dog beach.
Sunday afternoon tea! <3
Jer went wake boarding with his friends, I love that he has so many fun hobbies!
A much needed breakfast with some girlfriends. I really haven't had much energy to do much of anything, especially leave the house, but mornings are better for me and it was great to get out!
Monkey snuggles!
The learning tower has helped Ivy with her eating. It's a work in progress but we are sticking to it!
That wraps up the summer blog!!
Can't wait to see what fall has in store for us!
