Believe

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure & wearing lipstick. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything else seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe tomorrow is another day. I believe in Miracles.

Ivy's BIRTHDAY & Christmas 2017 + Jan 2018

Here is my happy 11 month old baby in her last MONTHS leading up to her 1st birthday!
I'm still working on getting her to keep a bow on her head...

On Nov 7th I ran the Paint night for our RS activity and it was a success!

Hannah came over to help me study for my US citizenship test. I am soooo grateful that she did because I learned so much from her and as a result, really knew my stuff going in to the test.
Walt is 8 months younger than Ivy and almost taller than her!!

This girl constantly kills me with her cuteness! She has been loving going to the park more and more.

Just playing outside in general actually. She's getting so daring with the steps!

Party prep has been in full swing! Visits to Hobby Lobby

And getting the lawn looking nice. We are moving up in the world over here having a gardener!!

I've been going strong on my 30 day boot camp. Trying to meet some weight loss goals before Ivy turns 1!

Its PARTY day!!!
Ivy's checking out her bounce house.

It was a successful night!
We all had a great time and Lexie, Sia and Mer stayed with us!

We've been playing lots of frisbee golf lately since the weather has been so nice!
Starting to get good!

Sara took our Family Christmas photo! so cute!

After going out for dinner, we came back for Ivy's cake on her real birthday.
She didn't really like the attention and the cake was not very good since she has an egg allergy still, but oh well!

We hit up the bowling alley while Mer was here visiting and I had so much fun!

A little four wheeling and frisbee at Hart park for Thanksgiving day celebrations.

Ivy has just about got walking down now. A few steps on her own and she just about runs when she has something to hold on to! I love that she took her first steps right around her first birthday.

I finished my bootcamp!! Here is what my coach Kari posted about me:

I honestly really needed to do this, not just to lose some weight/tone up- but to learn to be kind to myself, to not feel guilty if I eat something unhealthy, to focus on my strong and functioning body and to stop comparing myself so much! It definitely helped a ton!
I went to December bunco and found myself having such a good time because I could be fully engaged in conversations without my inner voice analyzing everything and comparing myself!

Time to get Christmas Decorations out!!!

And Christmas Jammies of coarse!!

Sara let us borrow this little walker, and Ivy loves pushing it around while she practices taking good steps.

Trying to get my veggies in! Best way to do it for me is to juice them!

More frisbee golf shenanigans.

Ivy's Christmas dress <3

Ivy has been getting into EVERYTHING since she's started walking. It's a while new world of possibilities for her now.

Christmas time is so wonderful and we loved getting things in the mail or delivered!

Jer has been hard at work preparing his new yard and office for their Asphalt Dr expansion. They combined and brought Eddie on to lay Asphalt now!!! With a new paving crew came lots of new equipment and more employees. Jers office is coming along! I am so proud of all the work he does and the risks he takes to be successful.

Zoo lights tradition with friends!

Ivy's first time on a carrousel ride!

Ivy's first birthday party invite!!
Landon and Levi Mitchell at Rush air sports.

Ooooh boy I love that bare bum!

I can no longer do dishes when Ivy is around. She climbs all over the place and unpacks everything I put in!

Signed up for a half marathon and started running more!
Feels good, trying to get my mile time quicker.

Meeting Santa for the first time!
It went pretty much exactly how we though it would!

DECEMBER 19, 2017
I become a US citizen!!!
Ah such a long process, very expensive, paper work coming out of my ears and a very boring ceremony in Fresno, but I DID IT!

And then we were off to Washington to spend Christmas (and go to Hawaii)

Live nativity!

Opening presents on Christmas morning!

Eggnog!

Said goodbye to Ivy girl while we left her with grandma for 8 days.
It's okay... we face timed!

Back in town, and playing with cousins!

I have been loooooooving going to High Fitness. Seriously, it's the best!

Jer and Ivy came with me on a 12 miler to keep me company... It wasn't great company haha

I have been LOVING my birthday present- this camera for Ivy's room.

Our last time at Universal Studios before our annual passes expire :(

Ivy's first ride!!

Then off to San Diego to hangout with Kai, Riv and Lexie.
Here we are at Legoland!

This girl is fearless on the slide!

Target after the weekend and Ivy's first temper tantrum haha
she was just tired i think.

I've been watching the Great British Baking Show and it inspired me to make some sausage rolls from scratch! They were tasty!

Little poppet still in the cupboards!

JANUARY 27
My Half Marathon!!

I had a good time, great support and wasn't that sore after!

To celebrate I made a trifle and pretty much ate the whole thing over a few days.

Ivy's buddy, Crew.

I gave the laundry room a make over. I did most of the work myself over about a week.
I planned everything, bought the supplies and painted etc. Jer helped with the shelves and shiplap.
I love it now! It's really transformed the room. I want to go through every room in the house and fix it to where I love it this much! This and Ivy's room are my favorites. Now I want to do the front room next!

Skyped with Granny for her 90th birthday!

Went to help Jer at work!

Anything to keep her quiet during sacrament!

2018 has started off to be a great year so far!
I can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!
